WHAT WE DO
we rehearse
We love to dance. It's a distraction from whatever we may be feeling. ARE YOU IN PAIN OR ANGRY OR DEFEATED? DANCE IT OUT. It raises your spirits to move to music with others who share your journey. We all have ups and downs. We understand this and offer respite. We rehearse regularly and are always adding new choreography. Being in our group takes commitment but the reward is great. Rehearsing is our therapy!
WE DANCE FOR JOY
The Cancer Dancers perform to give hope, recognize caregivers, remember those that have passed, and celebrate life. Cancer doesn’t just end after the last treatment or surgery, it rears its head down the road with medical issues due to treatment or damage from the cancer itself. We support each other when it gets hard and celebrate when we overcome. We are surviving. We are dancing.
WE PERFORM
We perform at a wide range of venues from elegant benefits on theatrical stages to educational events at medical centers. We also dance at American Cancer Society walks like Making Strides and Relay for Life.
If you're a cancer survivor and think this might be something you'd enjoy, we would love to have you join our group. Dance experience is not necessary.
